Let them be little. This is a hard thing for me. I’m a clean freak, a tidy person, I like things very orderly. But today Karter asked me to make slime and despite our lack of proper ingredients I couldn’t find any good reason not to. Our slime was more of a sticky sludge, but he had a total blast and watching him laugh and smile and explore was worth cleaning up the mess. #messy #Momlife #alwaysimproving #letthembelittle #slime #goop #gak #messyboys #mamamoments #theycallmemom #raisingboys #firstborn #fridayfun #friday #stickyhands #tidy #cleanmama #orderly #mamastruggles #momof3

I love the way the glaze just dripped so perfectly not all the way... making it look like the glaze is alive. If only a crack didn’t form on the inside so I can actually drink out of this mug. ☕️Try, try again. 💚 . . . . . #mug #mugshot #swirls #underglaze #waves #greens #seafoamgreen #dripped #drip #glaze #movement #cracked #tryagain #ceramics #pottery #handthrown #wheelthrown #trimmed #art #alwayslearning #alwaysimproving #keepthrowing #yukipeterson

I don't think people, and sometimes even myself, realize how much work it is to ride. There's a lot to keep track of mentally as well as physically and sometimes the focus and attention is the hardest part. Tonight was one of those nights in my lesson. I was struggling to balance keeping Zo forward, posting on the correct diagonal, not pushing in my stirrups to post, moving in rhythm with the horse, keeping my hands even, keeping my inside hand from being too low, keeping a nice wide circle, keeping my inside leg to outside rein to get Zo in a frame, softening with my hands when she responds correctly, sitting up straight, keeping my reins the right length to keep contact, not steering with my inside rein, trying to figure out why my feet weren't still and consistent in the stirrups, watching my strides to the jump, timing my two point, and paying attention to what my trainer was saying while there was a high School football game going on next door and two other riders were watching me 🥴🤪 Tonight was a mental game and i didn't realize until after I took a break what the core of my issues was and where I should focus which happens to be the base of the German riding scale: relaxation and rhythm. Without a good foundation, everything else becomes less stable. If it's hard it means you're learning and have room to grow. If you struggle you're on your way to success and the only way out is through. The most liberating & empowering day of my life was when I freed myself from my own self destructive nonsense.. Life’s not about who you once were, it’s about who you are right now & the person you have the potential to be..🙏🏼 - - - #AlwaysImproving #RealizeYourPotential #DoWhatYouLove #MentalGrowth #MentalPreparation #LongWaysToGo #ProgressNotPerfection

Many people say that tennis is the sport that most clearly resembles and relates to our lives. To succeed at the game it takes grit, as does success in business. Successful tennis players share many similarities with successful business owners – it takes hard work to refine your skills, dedication, grit, and, most importantly, resilience. Here are just a few lessons we can learn about succeeding in business from tennis: 1. You’re responsible for your outcomes. Tennis players and business owners both have competitors but who you should be competing against is yourself. You are constantly working toward improvement, and while you work with others to refine your skills you are ultimately responsible for your outcomes. 2. You are going to fail. Tennis is comprised of so many games, sets, and matches that, like in business, failure is inevitable. To succeed in the long-run in either, you can’t be phased by your failures. You have to learn from them, work to improve, and move forward. 3. It’s a mental game. Being the biggest, strongest or hardest working player isn’t enough on the tennis court. You have to be able to emphasize your strengths, exploit your opponent’s weaknesses, and anticipate what is going to happen. You can’t let emotions take over and have to have a strong mental fortitude. The same goes for business. 4. Momentum is constantly shifting. Winning 10 matches in a row means nothing to a successful player because they understand momentum can change on a dime. In business, the market shifts are so frequent and sharp you can never get comfortable and must be constantly improving and innovating. Tell me – what lessons have you learned through a hobby that you found relevant to running a business? 👊 #getunstoppable . . 🔥 You can become Unstoppable on the court too with your own Unstoppable tee from the Unstoppable store! Today was one of those days the weights felt heavier than usual. This kizentrainingofficial program can wear me out. It could be because I'm not used to squatting and deadlifting back to back, but my pause deadlifts (first time doing them) felt really weak. Despite that, I got through it all. In the end of the day, that's all that matters. Squats: 170 lbs for 15 (AMRAP) Pause deadlift: 135 lbs for 15 (RPE 8) Bent over row: 95 lbs for 15 (RPE 8) #gym #gymflow #motivateyourself #hybridathlete #runner #powerlifting #weightlifting #nevergiveup #alwaysimproving #justdothework
