There was me thinking rice is rice and that all rice is the same, clearly not. The pack of brown rice on the left (from Asda) is 142 calories per 100g and the pack on the right (from Lidl) is 358 calories per 100g!! So clearly rice is not just rice then? I’m a little confused to say the least and it’s fair to say I’ve stocked up with the packet on the left. When calorie counting it makes all the difference, over double the calories for the same size portion, I’d rather have double the portion thanks. Just goes to show you have to pay attention to all the nutrition information on the pack.
