Now THIS is what I call reading comprehension!

. . . #Papafullmecha #Guayana #Pzo #Familia #Valores #DadLife #Lifeofdad #Dad #Crianzaconapego #Lactanciamaterma #Paternidad #Padre #Papá #Apegoseguro #Disciplinapositiva

Today, I had a breakthrough. . Mid-March, I had a recurring voice in my head telling me I needed to make yoga a part of my life. Truth be told, I was always the person that couldn't sit still in yoga prior. But, in an effort to "follow my gut", I enrolled in a local studio and began going 1x per week. When I first walked in, I felt myself compounding limiting beliefs like a mo-fo...At almost 40, I just don't bend this way." . The one thing my ex-gymnast brain thought was going to be a slam dunk was bridge and handstands...yeah baby!!! Then...oh no...bridge felt like my abs were ripping and I swear I cramped my back like 10x trying. My handstand was weak as shizzle too. I began comparing myself to the obvious "yogis" around me. Which made me not even want to try the other advanced moves....BUT I never stopped showing up. I loved the mind, body + soul connection and I NEEDED that 60 minutes of clear thinking and silence. #MomLife . Today, I did this pose for the first time, flying pigeon. And, I got it immediately and held it a LONG ass time. I was so proud, literally a tear came down my face. Then I asked myself why I never attempted this before? After my brain went through the list of excuses, I felt the REAL answer. Fear. Fear of what the yogis would think (who by the way, are definitely NOT even looking at me), and of course, fear of failure (that ego can be a real bitch). .In Savasana (which is pretty much the best pose ever, look it up😄) I had the realization about my 3 month yoga journey. I came into this studio on a gut feeling, I just showed up. I had no big agenda past making it thought each class, and making each pose a little better than the last. . The moral of the story...It's not about me accomplishing the flying pigeon pose. It's about what the pose represents. It represents what SUCCESS truly is. It doesn't happen overnight. It's the result of consistency, action and focus. It's about achieving lots of small goals on your way to the big end goal. And to achieve true success, you have to release your limiting beliefs, focus on what you are doing and not care about what others think of you and, most importantly... feel the fear, but do it anyway.

The boy and his first bass on a soft plastic worm. He caught 10 day all on plastic worms. It was then and there that I gained confidence in soft plastics. Up to that point I was a spinnerbait or crank bait guy. We both fished soft plastic that day and landed 23 bass! #devotionfishing #devofishing #txbassfishing #pondhopping #dadlife #fishwhatworks

If your babes are too little to eat apples and other harder fruits, we have a little trick. You can soften them up by slicing them into small pieces and cooking them in a pan with a little bit of coconut oil. They come out soft and delicious - almost like pie filling without the sugar! . . #thelivinglist #growingwithyou #baby #newmom #newdad #momhacks #parenthood #nursingmoms #babysleep #teething #babyboy #babygirl #cutiepie #birth #babybump #mommylife #momlife #dadlife #mommy #daddy #babiesofinstagram #babyfever #family #kidsfashion #babylove #babyswag

15 months have come and passed little man! You are #funny, #independent, #smart, #helpful and all ours!! Tobias thinks he's too big for us to feed him now, so he always tries to eat his food by himself. Yes, it ends up all over the place - like his face, hair, tummy, arms, the floor, and at one point even the wall 😂😂😂 but there is nothing better in life than to have tiny humans who can turn the most dreadful days into and incredibly happy end! #tobiasedward #15monthsold #mybubby #myhandsome #babyhandsome #emmacallshimthat #happyboy #dadlife #parenthood #family #love #kids #familytime #toddlerlife #father #watchthemgrow #daddy #smile
