Makueni Governor Hon. Kivutha Kibwana and Kenya Red Cross Society Secretary General Dr. Abbas Gullet, have commissioned an emergency water #treatment plant set up at the banks of Kaiti River to provide clean and safe water to residents of Wote town in Makueni County. The plant, which draws water from Kaiti #River, is able to produce 1.2 million litres of clean water in a day, enough to serve the whole population in Wote. This was set up in four days after all #water systems in the area were destroyed by #floods, leaving #families in the area without water for days. #WaterIsLife #Emergency #EmergencyResponse #ServiceToHumanity #Humanity #Humanitarian #PicOfTheDay #PhotoOfTheDay #Makueni #Kenya #EastAfrica #Africa #EverydayAfrica #PicOfTheDay #PhotoOfTheDay #Kenya #EastAfrica #Africa #EverydayAfrica #PicOfTheDay

When you travel on the #centralafricanrepublic roads, you often see young men pushing chariots massively loaded with goods who are going to the market, they sometimes walk more than 15 kilometers to sell their products to the closest main #marketplace. People who are working outside are #vulnerable to #weather changes. If they have short term weather #alerts they can be better prepared to face #temperature drops and #rainfall so they can limit consequences on their #health and better protect their #goods. . . 💪 . . #rainforecast #everydayafrica #carcrisis #centrafrique #centralafrica #afrique #africa #care #meteorology #climate #rain #hardwork #longterm #FFA

Local #pottery makers covered up in smoke during the final stages of making a pottery ware at Ushafa Pottery #Village. Pottery being one of the many crafts of ancient Nigeria, heavily dominated by #women is still being practised in most parts today. It is perhaps #Nigeria's most cultural element. The processes of pottery making for the gbagyi locals here in #Abuja are yet to change since the beginning, as the practice is largely passed from generations to generations with little or no modification in methods of production.
