It’s not every day you wake up and feel powerful. Wearing the hijab has given me so much confidence, it has made me feel powerful almost every day. It has given me hope in humanity when I thought there was no hope for the chaos going on in the world today. Innocent dead bodies seem to be normalized due to the lack of coverage in the media and lack of concern and proactiveness of the people. The beautiful thing about Islam is it gives you hope in the most difficult times, and that good things are still possible. Whatever route of faith you believe in, I’m sure you have felt hope in times of hopelessness. That’s how I felt countless of times throughout my journey in finding my faith Alhamdullilah. Hate will not persist, love is real, innocent dead bodies are inhumane tragedies, it is not right for people to die for things out of their control. Not everyone in the government is there solely for the purpose of bettering their own lifestyles. There are some people in power who genuinely care about the wellbeing, financial and mental health of the people in general. I believe that the news could be beneficial when used effectively. News that highlights our actual stories should be broadcasted, our true religious beliefs and not the stereotypes of ignorance that are unfortunately prevalent nowadays. I want to change a lot of things around me, things that I am not too pleased with. One of the platforms that can give me that stepping stone is the miss muslimah pageant. Please help me by going on to their page missmuslimahusa , liking my picture and video. It will help me win and get a step closer to achieving my goals. Repost from coffeetimewithreema using RepostRegramApp - Your beautiful, gorgeous, wow breathtaking. But would you appreciate me the same once the makeup is wiped off and my flaws linger? When flawless skin turns into visible pores, pimple scars, beauty marks, and the discolouration takes the stand. Would you still feel the same? Once the reality of my face doesn’t keep up with the edited version of my face in the picture, will it bother you? Are your eyes okay? Has your mind come up with conclusions “wow I thought she was as beautiful as her pictures in real life” “oh, she’s a lot chubbier then I thought” do you fight with your opinions? Or do you accept me as I am, for who I am because I’m an imperfect soul regardless of what you may think? The most common and beautiful thing about us humans is that were flawed irrespective of who we are. Bottom line you don't have to be so hard on yourself. The image people put on social media is really what they want you to see. #darkskinnedhijabis #blackmuslimahexcellence #modestfashion #modestroute #simplycovered #melanin #habesha #habeshahijabi #ethiopianhijabi #eastafrican #africanamerican

Peace never leaves you They say it lives within I repeat these words in affirmation Ignoring the questions of what could have been...
