This is week 4 with me doing dips again and 2nd week adding in the chain. It has been a solid year of rebuilding my tricep where I feel comfortable enough to start back with heavier weight again since I ripped my tricep and had to have surgery to reattach it. I am 48 and having nothing to prove to anyone. Alright so it’s day two of my diet and I had the most delicious Nutella chocolate & peanut butter ice cream shake. No regrets, it was glorious. No idea on cals for #MyFitnessPal so I guessed and it took me over my goal stats but prob not into the fat gaining zone. Let’s call it a Sunday indulgence and make sure I have a great week ahead. You know what goes away with age? Picking yourself apart in every picture you see. Comparing yourself to others. Accepting who you are, AS you are. I’m 49 years old and have never felt so good in my skin as I do today. I see wrinkles, grey hair (thank God for b.rit14 or I’d be in trouble because she’s a miracle worker)... I see my flaws. I feel creaky, stiff joints, a sore back and achy knees and hips. But... that’s ok because it’s ME. It’s who I am. I can only compare myself to me... accepting of who I am. Stop comparing, start celebrating. Celebrate yourself, your journey and each other. Without comparison. ❤️

Saturday & Sunday food. This is most of what I've eaten this weekend. Not gonna lie tho, there has been extra nibbles going on too. It certain hasn't been a perfect weekend on the food front but it could've been a million times worse so I'm not stressing. I can't be perfect all the time. Just gotta keep trying. I had a good run today which I am super happy about, and this concludes the first week in ages where I've done 4 runs too 👍. Sunday = meal prep for the week. This week’s lunches are homemade chipotle style bowls. Sauté chicken with taco seasoning and put aside. Chop up bell peppers, zucchini and red onion, black beans and corn. Sauté with more taco seasoning. While doing that, cook some rice (I used jasmine rice). Serve with a lime, some salsa and garnish with cilantro and a little sprinkle of cheese.
