This morning my newly potty trained son spilt his potty across the floor, the baby woke up 50,000 times in the night and would only sleep if on my face, the 7 year old wouldn't brush her hair or teeth because she needed to write down every one of the Taylor Swift lyrics in her notebook before school - which ended in shouting and very dramatic tears, the bathroom tap broke and my hair decided it belonged to a lion 🦁 we left for school and work in a huge cross flap which was horrid! I have a million jobs to do, and the kids have 5 party's this weekend which I need to go present shopping for, but for now, I get back in from school run, put frozen on the telle, and give the small two honey crumpets just so I can sit by myself for 5 and just breathe. Have tea and a chocolate roll whist looking at pictures of our holiday 😊☀️ Because after the stressy mornings, its so important that we dont just carry on and let it become a stressy day, we need to stop. Reflect. Chill out. Think positively. And not let it become us ✌ We need time for ourselves, everyday. Didn’t make it to the gym today... 😒😒😒 Trying some new moves from benbrunotraining and a few other sources. Hollow-bodied KB shoulder press? I think the isometric contraction of the core/lower body is sneaky with these. 4 sets of 8-10 on each side and try to keep the balance when you change hands. I went with a 35 lb so I could stay in that rep range. Also ran through some skiing, medicine ball squats, some scapula ROM/strengthening exercises...then followed it up with plantar fascia stretches and other MFR stuff. Still alive. Promise guys. Here's a photo I took yesterday and slacked on posting until today. Lol. REST This so tough one for most. A tired kind usually doesn’t make the best decisions. It can be costly. Think about this.... you drive a car heading somewhere and the focus is on getting to your destination and how fast you can get there. As you are driving and focus being on that you don’t hear the engine rattle the tires losing air, the gas is almost empty and when your car breaks down you wonder why? When your tank is empty and things are happening to your mind and body it breaks down and you can’t figure out why. It needs a recharge and rest. Who is in charge of your time? We live in a society where everything needs to happen NOW and technology has given us the tool to enable that however it takes up much of our time. Time management and delegating are often things we need to be better at. Ideas 💡 1. Schedule our your email checking times. Have a system in place. 2.incoming calls and visitors should be treated the same w an ending time in mind. 3. Stay focused on your work. If you are standing around it gives others the idea that you have time to chit chat and eat up valuable time. Schedule it all out. Including time for yourself. You are in charge of your life and time... no one else.
