Since today’s Tuesday... here’s a #transformationtuesday for ya. 💖 The first picture is from October 2014, my senior year in high school and the last two are from today. I’ve lost over 30 lbs. & I can honestly say that I feel better mentally and physically. Physically, my joints (specifically my knees & ankles) don’t hurt daily like they used to, even at 17 years old. Mentally, I feel more energetic, less stressed/anxious, and I don’t aim to please everyone that has something to say about me. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 4 years ago as a senior in high school, I was “too fat”. Now, as a college graduate, some call me “too skinny”. To be honest, it’s not anyone’s business to talk about someone else’s weight unless YOU ARE A DOCTOR OR MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL. If you do, shame on you, if you get called this, just try to brush it off. I know, it’s rough. But once you get to the point where it doesn’t matter, life gets so so so much better, I promise. 💙 Negativity doesn’t live here, it’s too damn contagious. 🌸

Ohh dear friends - this may look like just a regular whole wheat BBQ Tofu/Roasted Sweet Tater/Purple Cabbage/Coriander sandwich, but lemme tell y’all, it’s SO MUCH MORE THAN THAT!! Six months ago, I hated all of these things with a burning passion tofu tasted weird, sweet potato was too sweet, cabbage was too “healthy tasting”, and coriander was just... too coriandery 🙄🤦🏼‍♀️ So this sandwich-which-isn’t-just-a-sandwich is a great analogy for the changes that can happen when we find the courage to give something another try, challenge our own beliefs, and allow ourselves the chance to grow outside the confinement we’ve limited ourselves to. You might find something you actually love! ...or maybe just realize that coriander on a BBQ sandwich is AWESOME 😏🌿 #fightme #teamcoriander

|🖤| Look what was delivered last week! Back in June I earned my 75 workout hoodie from streetparking and it finally came in the mail 😍. Pretty fitting since my family packed up and went on an adventure at Emerald Lake for a wedding. More pictures to come from our weekend away! || But back to this hoodie. PROVE THEM WRONG! 👉🏼 I fractured both elbows and dislocated the right one about 3 years ago. After several weeks of not being able to even feed myself or pick up my baby boy I finally got the cast off but it was months before I could even lift a gallon of milk! 😞 The doctor said I could do PT but needed to accept the fact that my right arm would never fully recover, never be weight bearing, and I would never do another push up or pull up. NEVER? At the time I couldn’t remember the last time I even tried to do a push-up or pull-up and could care less about ever doing one again but at some point I became determined to be strong for my kids’ sake. A lot of baby steps were made between then and now, but my “why” was HUGE! Today is the day! ⠀ Over the past 2 weeks I have not done alot of exersise, with me having a little break then getting ill, my motivation has not been there ⠀ Today I am back with a 40 minute cardio workout. Tip Tuesday⚬ Do: Eat for the body you want — not the one you have! Don’t: Cut out all of your favorite foods. If you really want to be miserable and set yourself up for failure, cut out everything you like to eat. If your diet is really bad, a lot of stuff you like might have to go. Soda, fried food, super sugary coffee drinks…think of this new journey as a boot camp. You’re training for the body you’ve always wanted. So feed that body with the food it needs. Lean proteins, complex carbs, and lots of nutrient-packed vegetables. Think about your diet as an 80/20 split. Eighty percent of the time, eat “clean.” The other 20 percent of the time, don’t stress about it. If you really want that cookie, have it. One cookie isn't going to be your downfall!
