- - #psicólogo #psicología #psicoterapia #psicoterapeuta #terapia #hipnosisericksoniana #neurociencia #neuropsicologia #ansiedad #depresion #duelos #motivacion #psicologiapositiva #coaching #inteligenciaemocional #psichologyst #psicotherapy #psicotherapist #neuroscience #loveyourself #hapiness #felicidad #bienestar #wellness #saludmental #health #educacionemocional #saludemocional #conocimiento #autoayuda

💥Despite the recent posts of mine discussing strength as an option over surgery, it’s important to reiterate a few things... 1️⃣ Surgery still works. Sure, there are instances where they don’t work any better than strength or rehab for SOME injuries, but that doesn’t mean we can utilize those studies as a blanket statement for EVERY injury. If something is broken or displaced, surgery absolutely works (among many other examples). 2️⃣ Surgery is NOT placebo. Just because a study can show that surgery is no better than placebo does NOT mean that surgery is a placebo. Don’t confuse the research. If the study shows ‘no significant difference at two-year follow up between surgery and placebo group’, it still proves surgery worked. It just didn’t work any BETTER than placebo in that specific scenario. Don’t be so naive. 3️⃣ Surgery is still a completely viable option when all other options have been exhausted. If you have tried exercise-based interventions, and the client is still in pain, has a reduced quality of life, and limited function, then surgery is absolutely a viable option in that scenario. At the end of the day, it’s about keeping the client satisfied and returned to optimal function - not about you.

Watson is a question-answering computer system capable of answering questions posed in natural language, developed in IBM's DeepQA project by a research team led by principal investigator David Ferrucci.Watson was named after IBM's first CEO, industrialist Thomas J. Watson. The computer system was initially developed to answer questions on the quiz show Jeopardy! and, in 2011, the Watson computer system competed on Jeopardy! against legendary champions Brad Rutter and Ken Jennings winning the first place prize of $1 million. In February 2013, IBM announced that Watson software system's first commercial application would be for utilization management decisions in lung cancer treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York City, in conjunction with health insurance company WellPoint. IBM Watson's former business chief, Manoj Saxena, says that 90% of nurses in the field who use Watson now follow its guidance. #artificialintelligence #machinelearning #deeplearning #neuralnetworks #neuroscience #ibm #algorithms #code #ai #ibmwatson #programming #code

Autumn has finally arrived in Portugal. With lower temperatures and some rainy days, it's time to get cozy with my neuroscience books and my specialization in data science. Am I the only one who loves to study around this time of the year? .

Your brain rewires itself daily to be better at what you are paying attention to. To our surprise, we have much more than 5 senses, try ~33! Internal sensing is one, the ability to be aware of your thinking you hear a thought or you feel one. Meditation gives you the opportunity to be aware of the mind's inner workings without having to engage (if we don't want to). Ah, the freedom we have. What are you focusing on today? What neural pathways do you want to strengthen? As neuroscientists say, "use it or lose it". You have full capacity to rewire your pathways while establishing new ones. #dailypractice #meditation #neuroplasticity

In this post, I’ll give you a birds-eye view of how I see things through Upsight. This discussion may appeal to anyone interested in the evolving understanding of how the brain works. 🧠Mental health marketers, in particular, may want to know more about Upsight and how I can use it to help them reimagine their approach to branding.🎨 Upsight is a form of visual consciousness, a layered network of moving, never static, images that are always available to me when I turn my attention to them. I use my eyes to focus on Upsight images the same way you would use your vision to focus on a person walking across a room or catch sight of a bird flying past your window out of the corner of your eye.🦅...follow link in bio for full blog post.🌞 #madness #math #marketing #brainscience #neuroscience #neurology #neurodiversity #neurodivergent #schizophrenia #schizoaffective #mentalillness #bipolar #bpd #anxiety #recovery #mentalhealth #recoveryispossible #insane #hallucinations #hallucination #adhd #mentalillness

Presenting to you the Stress - Performance Curve, exciting! Stress has almost become a status symbol in our society, it's an unspoken rule that if you're not stressed & exhausted, then you're not working hard enough. . Psychologists refer to 2 types of stress Eustress (positive) and Distress (negative). Eustress is the yellow part of the graph. We feel motivated and challenged, this is a great place to be, mainly because you can easily wind down into the green area when you need to. . Problems arise when we tip over into the orange & red parts of the graph. We're losing sleep, we're tired, we've got anxiety, our mood has changed & we're heading towards a serious breakdown. Our performance & productivity absolutely nose dive too. It's a lot harder to get from the red section back to the green section. . Mindfulness helps in several ways: 1) You become more aware of when you're moving from yellow to orange & orange to red so you can do something about it . 2) You're rehearsing the relaxation response in your brain so you can more easily switch from yellow & orange to green when you want to #igniteyourmind . . . #meditation #mindfulness #neuroscience #science #anxiety #depression #mentalhealth #health #resilience #selfdevelopment #learn #education #mind #brain #brainfacts #lume #lumelldn #stress #fitness #psychology #performance #coaching
