Music has saved my life on many occasions. I’ve been through many “phases” with music, but universally, it has saved my life many times when people haven’t. When I was alone and scared and suicidal, I would listen to music. I would hear the words and feel the need to carry on. I was inspired by the stories of some of my favorite bands and how they had overcome great struggles and related to me. I would repeat lyrics over and over to remind myself to stay strong. Certain songs would make me cry. They would sum up how shitty my life felt, but also push me to get through the bad times. Some songs made me feel understood. Like I wasn’t alone, and that these people, these musicians cared for me. During very dark times in my life music saved me. I would fight the urge to cut, fight the urge to reach for this pills, and I would listen to the lyrics and just cry. I would let the music take over and the lyrics would motivate me to stay alive. When all else failed, music spoke. Thank you to all the musicians and all the bands. Thank you for creating this art that is so much more than just music. #breakfast was something else today 😋 Honey Pops or however these are called. Recently I have been getting so many comments on my weight - people telling me I should get my life together or I shouldnt present myself when I am so skinny. This is honestly so frustrating and harmful. Other people are publically calling me anorexic and are debatting wether or not I might have personal issues. Why would you think that is okay??? You don't go up to an obese person eighter and tell them to go sort their life out and stop wearing fitted clothes? What are your thoughts on supplements? For, against or neither? If you use supplements, what do you use and have you found it beneficial for training or recovery? Personally, I’ve tried using Whey isolate and Casein (Protein Powders) while taking the usual multivitamin with creatine monohydrate added to a glass of water. I’ve always been inconsistent with my water intake and therefore my supplement intake. I’m not saying the supplements “didn’t work for me” because I know it’s my fault for not taking them on a regular basis to ... surprise: supplement my diet whether for training or recovery. - Now I’m keeping it basic. I bought a 2QT (1.89L) Gatorade bottle to help with my water intake throughout the day.
