First time in three months back at the climbing gym! Feels great to be Bouldering again! I feel like all the ANIMAL FLOW practice and all the movement mobility training and all the abnormal climbing I've been doing at my facility has really starting to pay off! On my first heal hook I've never been able to get my leg up so high! Day 2 of #BalanceSSPY Challenge: (PS - adding boots makes this a lot harder 😂) Ubhaya Pandangusthasana, Both Big Toe Pose: this is one of a few seated balances from the Ashtanga Yoga method. They are good for both flexibility and helping you tap into the core (and Bandhas) that will help in the standee poses. From seated, take the peace sign fingers around your big toes. Pull the belly in and extend the feet out. Slowly turn the gaze up.

(Ps for me a close second to ustrasana for least favorite pose) Urdhva Mukha Paschimottanasana, Upward Facing Forward Fold: from seated, take hold of the outer edges of the feet. Come onto the sitting bones and extend the legs out. Slowly draw the thighs closer to the chest and look to the toes.

Embracing the 7️⃣th and last day of #gratefulformobility challenge with appreciation for the ability to move. . Self care isn’t easy, it’s a process. A process that requires us to show up intentionally and passionately. Loving yourself entirely and all your imperfections can also be a challenge in itself; especially for me. This method of stretch-activate-meditate was rewarding. I’m truly grateful for my healthy body that can move and help others to move along too. .
